Jammy French Rolls


These jam-filled bread scrolls are a fun way to treat the kids. Once you add cinnamon and fry them, theyre a cross between French toast and doughnuts!

  • 80g philadelphia cream cheese at room temperature
  • 80g strawberry jam
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 100g 1 2 cup cinnamon sugar
  • 30g butter
  • 1 tablespoon grapeseed oil

  • use a rolling pin to roll the bread until flat spread each slice with 2 teaspoons of the cream cheese and top with 2 teaspoons of the jam roll up firmly to enclose
  • whisk the egg and milk in a shallow bowl spread cinnamon sugar on a plate dip the rolls in the egg mixture
  • melt half the butter and half the oil in a frying pan over medium heat cook half the rolls turning for 4 minutes or until golden transfer to cinnamon sugar and toss to coat repeat with remaining rolls butter oil and cinnamon sugar serve warm
