Giant Fairy Bread Cake


We have transformed the classic party treat, fairy bread, in a showstopping giant cake.

The ingredient of Giant Fairy Bread Cake

  • 250g unsalted butter softened
  • 1 1 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups self raising flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons of glitter confetti
  • 125g unsalted butter softened
  • 1 1 2 cups sugar mix
  • 1 tablespoon milk

The Instruction of giant fairy bread cake

  • preheat the oven to 180 u00b0 c 160 fan forced grease a 5cm depth 21cm base x 24 cm top square cake pan line base with baking paper using the picture as a guide cut a 90cm length of the aluminum sheet fold it lengthwise in quarters cut a 90cm length of baking paper fold in half on the length place the foil tape on the top of the baking paper along 1 long side fold a sheet of baking paper on the foil to enclose line the sides of the pan with the gaza strip overlapping the long side of 1 cut 2 x 90cm lengths of aluminum foil place on top of each other fold in half on the length starting at 1 short end fold the aluminum foil over 2cm keep folding tightly until you get to the end repeat the operation 2 more times in the form of 3 parts using picture 4 as a guide place 1 piece approximately 10 cm from the 1st corner between the edge of the pan and the baking paper strip this will be the shape of the curve on the side of a bread slice repeat the operation with another piece of sheet on the opposite side pour the rest of the piece of sheet in the centre on the side closet to the other rooms between the edge of the pan and the baking paper strip
  • using an electric mixer beat the butter powdered sugar and vanilla until pale and creamy add the eggs 1 at a time beating well after each addition
  • add 1 2 of flour and 1 2 litre milk beat at low speed until just combined add the remaining flour and milk beat until combined
  • pour the mixture into the prepared pan smooth surface bake in the oven for 1 hour 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean stand in the pan for 10 minutes transfer to a rack covered with parchment paper and let cool completely
  • in the meantime prepare the butter cream using an electric mixer beat the butter for 5 minutes until pale and fluffy gradually add the sugar mixture beating constantly until combined beat in the milk
  • place cake on a cutting board using a sharp knife cut 5mm off the top of the cake to level cut the sponge cake in u00bd horizontally place 1 slice of cake on a serving plate spread with half of the butter cream sandwich with the remaining slice of cake using the picture as a guide the gap with the rest of the butter cream sprinkle of glitter confetti to serve
